Section Description:
This is a custom section developed to address the unique requirements of GIS technicians working in a First Nations organization. The section provides learners with an in-depth look at how GIS is being used by First Nations oranizations to help manage the complex issues that many communities must address.
Topics covered include:
- Creating and using attribute Domains
- Using GIS to store and manage Traditional Use Data
- Using GIS to support the Referrals process
Assessment:
Student’s progress through this section is assessed through the creation of numerous maps which require they demonstrate an understanding of each of the topics covered.
